Pure greed. Money has ruined the human race, yet it’s hard to imagine a world without it.
There should be far harsher penalties for wildlife smuggling, especially in places where the people participating aren’t in a struggle for survival. I hate poaching everywhere, but it’s definitely worse when you are talking about people that are doing it purely out of greed and on such large scale.
Did you see how little trouble those people smuggling animals out of the Galapagos got? I think it was something like only 1 year!
